I love taking my children to the Lowes Build and Grow Events. About every two weeks they offer a different wood craft that the kids get to build. They are fun and easy to make. The best part is that it’s all free. Just head over to Lowes Build & Grow website. Find one of their upcoming builds, enter your zip code, find a store near you, and sign up your kids ages five and older. For the month of August the two builds will be characters from the new Disney Planes movie.

These clinics have become so popular that Lowes has added then on Sunday afternoons as well. Be sure to sign up online to reserve your spot. You could just walk in but it doesn’t guarantee that you will receive a spot or be able to build that week’s item. Recently we went out and built R.C. race car from Toy Story. We got our kit to build the car (which includes all the parts, nails, instructions and decorations).
