I’ve been on a search for a new bible since I started reading my She Speaks book. You can read the review of that book here. Since the book has scripture I wanted to go beyond the book and read more from my bible. This is where the search began. I had a couples bible and a student bible from when I was taking a class in college. The couples bible must have gotten lost in one of our many moves and the student bible was so plain and simple I wanted something better so I started looking for something else. I want to share with you The Mother’s Bible from Abingdon Press.

The unique packaging makes a beautiful-looking gift: the cover binding is designed in fashionable pink and melon hues. Mothers will cherish this gift for years to come.
My thoughts:
I think the best way to show this bible is in pictures it’s a very beautiful bible and great for an adult. Geared towards mother’s it includes devotionals for mothers, a mother’s prayer and even a section for single mothers. When it arrived I was surprised at how pretty it was. It’s in a white box with flowers so it’s super easy for gifting (I’ll share about giving ideas). When I opened the cover I find a coral with floral print bible and rounded corner with gilded page edges. The first few pages are for recording personal information about your self, you family and recording memories. Great for if you plan to use the bible as a memento in you family. It’s very durable and beautifully crafted. The pages are a little thin and since it’s brand new I had to make sure the pages weren’t stuck so I wasn’t skipping sections. I liked the font it was just the right size for me to read.
I find this is a great bible for a gift to someone else. You can just wrap it in the box it comes in and gift it. It’s great for someone who just had became a mom, or someone who has been a mom for years. This would make a great Easter gift, Mother’s Day and Grandparent’s Day gift. It would also be a very nice gift to a mother who just got baptized as well as a nice Christmas gift. The options are endless and even if someone already has a bible they may be looking for a new one and this is a great one.
