I have been watching all kinds of superhero shows lately. The CW Network has a whole line up of my favorites including Supergirl and The Flash. I’ve never heard of Doom Patrol before so when I received the Blu-ray for review I was excited. I couldn’t wait to dive in and see what the show was about.

I’m not sure how to describe the Doom Patrol Squad except to call them an odd bunch of “superheroes.” Lead by Cyborg the team goes on the hunt for the man responsible for bringing them all together. None of them want to be called heroes and they all have their own personal demons to battle while trying to help save the man who saved them all. It’s wildly weird but you’ll grow to love these characters as the season goes on.
Doom Patrol does a great job giving us backstories of all the characters of the series including the arch-nemesis. Since it’s probably a comic that many people are not familiar with. They mention different heroes from their comics like Superman, Batman, Teen Titans, and a few more. If you’re looking for an eccentric show to watch this one is perfect.
