Every year for the holidays, my husband and I gift movies to the kids and we add a few to our collection. We love shopping on Black Friday for special deals on box sets and new releases. We’ve already grabbed a few new items to add to our collection this year. If you’re a movie and television fanatic or you’re gifting to one this year, here are some great gift ideas from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
Disclosure: “Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with the free physical copy of The Originals that I am including in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”
The Originals: The Complete Series
After five incredible seasons, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment marks the end of an ancient era with the release of The Originals: The Complete Series on DVD. Gather around the TV this holiday season with your friends and family and feast on all 92 episodes from the beloved vampire series for $89.99 SRP.
I was late coming into the Originals, by the time I had found out about the show it was in the forth season. It as great that I could binge all the episodes I could find but sad since it ended shortly after I found it. The Originals isn’t like the vampire movies we’ve seen lately. Its gritty and raw and that’s what I loved about it the most. It’s filled with romance, drama, war, family, and so much more. Set in New Orleans it follows the Mikaelson siblings on their journey to reclaim the city of Mystic Falls. The show is a spinoff from Vampire Diaries and has a huge cult following.
If you know anyone who’s a fan of those shows, this would be a great gift to leave under the tree this year.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas: The Ultimate Edition
The best-selling, perennial holiday classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!: The Ultimate
How the Grinch Stole Christmas has been reinvented and retold in so many different ways. There’s even a new movie that was released this year. It’s a family favorite in our house and one we watch right after the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s always entertaining and helps us start up our Christmas cheer for the year. You can’t go wrong with gifting a copy of this for a Christmas Eve Box for a child or a child at heart. It’s a timeless classic that everyone who watches movies should own.
