Five Tips About Finding the Right Bra For You
I’m not ashamed to admit up until a year ago I was wearing the wrong bra size. Prior to having children shopping for a bra was so easy, I could do it in my sleep. With aging, giving birth to four children, and breastfeeding, my body drastically changed over the years. With the changes, I never thought to take the time to find the find bra for me, so I was wasting money every time I purchased one for years.
Finding the right bra can add a whole new level of self-confidence for any woman. When shopping for bras there are so many things to consider. Here are five tips that helped me when shopping for the right bra that may be able to help you as well.
Know Your Size
It’s critical to know your bra size when shopping for a bra. Wearing the wrong size can create so many problems including improper support, not enough coverage, pressure into your skin, and more. When I wore the wrong size my bras would be all over the place. I never felt comfortable and it showed in the clothes I chose as well. Once I go measured and got the right size a whole new world of possibilities opened up for me.
Choose Quality Over Price
One big lesson I learned over the years is to spend money on good bras. It’s tempting to see cheaper bras in stores and wanting to grab multiples so you have more options to choose from, however, I say to choose quality over price. When I would spend less on bras they would easily fall apart in the wash. My high-quality bras may carry a higher price tag but they last so much longer, so I’m shopping for replacements less often.
Choose Comfort Pieces
Comfortable bras are a must for all women. Choose pieces that offer more support from brands like Knix, that create bras with their customers in mind. I love looking for bras with wider straps that distribute weight and cuts down pressure on my shoulders.
Pick Multiple Styles
Just like shopping for underwear be sure to shop for different styles of bras. I have a few styles to fit my wardrobe that each offers a different kind of support. You can choose from strapless, lace, sports, t-shirt and more. With different styles, you’ll be able to expand your wardrobe in various ways while still being comfortable.
Get A Few Matching Sets
I tend to purchase base colors of bras and underwear so they can easily match up, but I do have a few matching sets for special occasions. It makes me feel prettier and sexier when I sport my matching sets.
If you’re shopping for new bras in the near future hopefully these tips can help you find one or a few bras that you love.
