You Can Actually Visit the North Pole in These States
The holidays are in full swing with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner. I’m ready for all the holiday music, decorations, food, and most of all getting to spend time with family. One of our favorite family traditions is visiting a popular street in Baltimore were all the houses are fully decorated with Christmas lights and other decorations. I’m surprised it didn’t make Royal Vegas Casino’s list of Top Christmassy Places to Visit.
While I was browsing the list from Royal Vegas Casino I started to think about North Pole, Colorado Springs. Two years ago my husband and I visited Colorado Springs and our guide took us to North Pole. It looked like such a fun place to visit, especially if you have children. You drop letters off to Santa at their local post office, and even visit with Mr. & Mrs. Claus. There’s a small amusement park for visitors to enjoy with fun holiday themed rides. The gift shop has lots of gift ideas for anyone on your shopping list, even some with local flair.
This isn’t the only North Pole in the United States that you can visit though. Here’s a few more states with their own North Pole.
North Pole, Alaska
If you’re in the mood for the holidays year-round, then a trip to North Pole, Alaska should be at the top of your list. Thanks for Alaska native Con Miller, who turned his trading post into Santa Claus House back in the 1950s, this town keeps the holiday spirit going all year-long. Every year in December the town draws ice sculptors from around the world for their Winter Festival, along with over 400,000 letters addressed to Santa. You don’t have to visit the town however to get holiday cheer, order one of the Original Letters from Santa from Santa Claus House online.
North Pole, New York
Santa’s Workshop in North Pole, New York lays claim to being the oldest theme park in the United States. The small park is located in the North Woods of New York. Visit in December to explore the Village of Lights, roast marshmallows at the fire pit, and end the night at the Nativity pageant. Visit Santa’s Gift Room to find unique holiday gifts including Santa’s Workshop custom apparel.
North Pole Experience, Flagstaff, AZ
I know The North Pole Experience is not an actual place named North Pole, however I wanted to include it on my list because it’s a very special experience for families. Guests start their adventure on a trolley ride through a magic portal to Santa’s workshop. Santa’s Workshop is completely hands-on for children and parents, as they work side-by-side with the elves. While building toys you get to learn all of Santa’s Workshop secrets. Those are just a few of the things you and your family will experience during the 1 hour and a half hour workshop experience. End your experience with a private visit with Santa, and a special surprise for your child.
These are just a few Christmas themed towns and experiences you can visit in the United States. With the holidays approaching now is a great time to visit the North Pole or one of the Christmassy places on the Royal Vegas Casino list.
