Five Reasons to Stay at the Hershey Lodge
Early in the summer, my family and I had the opportunity to stay at the Hershey Lodge. The kids were super excited about staying at the lodge because we hadn’t stayed there before. They were most excited about the Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge. We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge so I wanted to share with you five reasons to stay at the Hershey Lodge.
This year the Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge opened for guests staying at the Hershey Lodge. It’s an indoor water park that helps guests enjoy swimming and other water fun in the cold months, or after to avoid the summer heat. Reason #1: Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge
My kids loved visiting this indoor water park. We arrived after the water section at Hersheypark had already closed, it was still very warm out so the kids wanted to swim. I loved that we could just check in our rooms and head straight to the pool. There is literally something for everyone at there. My youngest kids had fun at the splash pad and the shallow wading pool. One of my nephews was with us and he quickly hopped in line for the slides, which by the way were super short. My two older kids played around getting a lay of the land before ending up in the pool and on the Reese’s Water Walk. There’s even a hot tub for parents to relax while the kids are having fun. You can even grab a bite to eat poolside.
Reason #2: Comfort and Unique Experiences
When you walk in the Hershey Lodge kids can head to their own check-in desk, making them feel extra special. I love the special touches. The lodge has a distinct odor of chocolate in the air. When you look around you see special little touches of Hershey everywhere. There is also a big beautiful fireplace in the lobby where guests can just sit and relax while enjoying the atmosphere.
Reason #3: Dining Options
When you stay at the Hershey Lodge you don’t have to go far to find a good meal. Right in the lobby of the lodge guests can check out Cocoa Beanery or sit down for a hearty morning meal at Lebbie Lebkicher’s. For lunch or dinner with the family, visit The Bears’ Den or Hershey Grill, and gourmet dinners are best enjoyed at The Forebay. I just love visiting the Hershey Grill for a their S’mores French Toast. The convenience of being able to get a delicious meal right in or near the lodge without having to travel too far. Yes your reservation at Hershey Lodge scores you a few freebies, as well as discounts and special offers. Guests staying at the Lodge get free admission to the Hershey Story Museum, Hershey Gardens, and Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge. When you’re done expoloring the all the Hershey Lodge has to offer stop by the Sweet Memories Gift Shop off the lobby area of the Hershey Lodge. Sweet Memories offers Hershey’s chocolate, giftware, and signature apparel and accessories. While you’re there be sure to pick up the signature Hereshey Lodge bath products. I can’t get enough of the lotion. It has a lovely hint of chocolate when applied, and my husband swears by the shampoo and conditioner. Take home a set and always be reminded of your time at the Hershey Lodge.
