Heading to California for Tomorrowland, Aladdin and Disneyland
Anytime I get a press trip invite I get excited. However when one arrives a week before you’re supposed to travel and it includes free time in Disneyland, it’s even more magical and exciting. Just a week ago I had no plans of traveling for my blog and now I’m just a day away from traveling to Santa Ana, California for a special in-home releases press event with Disney Home Entertainment.
I’ve been so excited about this adventure because of the trip to Disneyland but honestly I’ll be learning lots of great things about Tomorrowland and Aladdin as well. So you’re probably wondering what I’ll be doing while in California right. For starters I’ll be spending two nights at the beautiful Anaheim Hilton Hotel.
This hotel is beautiful from all the photos I’ve seen on their website. It has an amazing pool area, the rooms looks great and it’s close to Disneyland. Our first day is mainly travel and exploring for those arriving early. We’ll be having a blogger dinner the first night and that’s when I get to meet some of the other bloggers on the trip.
Our second day starts off interviewing Tomorrowland talent. Tomorrowland will be released on Disney DVD, Blu-Ray, and Disney Digital on October 15th. We have a few interviews set up during the first half of the morning, they include:
- Mike Goslin (VP of Production and Content at Disney Consumer Products)
- Charita Carter (Producer at Disney Imagineering)
- Thomas Robinson (Young Frank) & Raffey Cassidy (Athena)
- Brad Bird (Director)
After our morning interviews learning about Tomorrowland we will be attending a special lunch in celebration of Disneyland 60th Anniversary. After lunch we’ll be heading to the park for special photo opportunities and free time in the park. We’ll end our day by watching the fireworks show at the park.
We start our second day early to head back to Burbank for a morning filled of Aladdin content. We will be meeting Disney Animator of Genie, Eric Goldberg. Then we’ll be learning about Disney Movies Anywhere with a special presentation from Eddie Drake.
Be sure to sure to follow the hashtags #TomorrowlandBloggers, #AladdinBloggers, and #Disneyland60 to see all we are sharing during this trip. I’ll be posting on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Also check back in a few weeks for my interview posts.
Disclosure: I will be attending an all expenses paid trip with Disney Home Entertainment. All opinions expressed are my own.
