Colgate & Family Dollar Offering Free Dental Screenings in Baltimore
Taking care of your teeth is very important, however there are thousands of people in the country who are without Dental Insurance. Although proper dental hygiene is very important, it often gets brushed off to the side and forgotten. Whether is due to lack of income or just ignoring dental problems, people battle dental problems every day. For the third year in a row Colgate-Palmolive and Family Dollar have partnered in honor of Black History Month to help African-American families across the Baltimore area to honor their past and take charge of oral health.
Did you know that according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, 34% of African-Americans have untreated cavities in comparison to 18% of non-Hispanic Whites. Colgate and Family Dollar are committed to improving oral hygiene for African-American families across the Baltimore area and will be offering exclusive in-store promotions on Colgate toothpastes, toothbrushes and mouthwash products.
Colgate – Palmolive and Family Dollar is planning to serve the community of Baltimore at two different locations on Saturday February, 21st 2015. The Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® mobile dental van will visit the following Baltimore Family Dollar locations and offer complimentary dental screenings and treatment referrals (if needed) to children ages 3-12 as well as oral care tips for the entire family:

Colgate sent my family and I a few items to help us with out regular oral care routine. Included were toothpaste for the adults and kids as well as toothbrushes for adults and kids. We are big fans of Colgate in my family. Growing up in Trinidad it was the only brand my parents would buy, for a long time I thought Colgate was the only toothpaste company in the world. I use it with my family because it’s a brand that I know and one that I trust. It has been protecting my teeth for my entire life so I trust it with my children for their dental needs.
