Epson Pulsense Makes Great Fit New Year Gift
Have you made goals or plan to make goals to get fit in 2015? Every year my husband says he’s going to eat better and lose some weight and each year he starts off with a bang and slowly fizzes out. This year I plan to help him stick to those goals with the Epson Pulsense. I received an Epson Pulsense for inclusion in my Holiday Gift Guide.
The Epson Pulsense makes a great stocking stuffer, which is why I included it in my Stocking Stuffer guide and I know it will be the prefect gift for my husband. The Epson Pulsense is one of the most accurate fitness trackers on the market. It continuously monitors your heart rate and uses it to track your calories burned, it stores your steps taken and even tracks your sleep patterns. Lack of sleep is one of the key reasons for poor health and it’s often one of the last things we suspect. I know both my husband and myself have been losing out on sleep, with the Epson Pulsense he can track his sleep patterns and make changes to his sleep schedule accordingly. The Pulsense PS-100, a slim, comfortable wristband that measures heart rate at the wrist – no chest strap required.
The Pulsense can help you be inspired to move toward higher performance with heart rate zone monitoring made easy. Check your zone via the LED lights on the face of the wristband and real-time data displayed on your smartphone. This is perfect for my husband because on days when he’s not doing much all he has to do is check out his wrist and look at the lights to see he needs to kick it up a notch. The Pulsense comes in two colors, black and blue and the sizes are S/M and M/L. Getting started is very simple with the Pulsense is simple. Right now the app required to use the device is available only on iTunes, so Android users can’t use this product just yet. Charge your device fully before using for the first time. A full charge lasts for 36 hours. Once charged download the app from the iTunes app store. Open the app and follow the instruction to pair your device and your phone. Please note to only use the app to pair your device and your phone to ensure proper storage of your data. You can now track your progress through the app or on the Pulsense website. Check out this video of how the Pulsense PS 100 works.
The Pulsense PS-100 Band retails for $129.00. The price is comparable to other fitness devices on the market but this one also features heart rate monitoring and is much more accurate than other devices I’ve used in the past. The app was easy to find and install on my phone, however it did lag when connecting to the device and getting started. I did have a few minor hiccups with the app but nothing major. It does take a few days of wearing the device 24 hours to properly track sleeping patterns, so when you get started give it a few days to get the most accurate results and if you have any problems give it a few days and you’ll get the hang of it all. Overall it’s a great device and perfect for helping my husband get fit in the new year. I’m sure I’ll be mentioning his progress throughout the year.
In addition to the Pulsense PS 100Band, Epson also offers the Pulsense PS 500 Watch. Comfortably monitor your heart rate with the Pulsense PS-500, a sleek, sporty watch that also tracks popular fitness activities. Be inspired to move toward higher performance with heart rate zone monitoring made easy via the LED lights on the face of the watch and real-time data displayed on the LCD. Featuring Epson’s leading-edge sensing technology, the PS-500 accurately tracks your heart rate, at the wrist, 24/7, along with steps, sleep quality and calories burned. The Pulsense PS 500 Watch retails for $199.99.
