Making Bath Time Safe with the Duckymeter
I was sent a Duckymeter from Ozeri to review and share my opinions with my readers. I am making bath time safe with the Duckymeter and you can as well. Giving your baby a bath can be so much fun. I love the see the smiles on my son’s face when he’s in the water and making little splashes. One of the things I have to first make sure is right is the temperature of the water.
For babies the first thing that can determine how bath time goes is water temperature. If the water is too cold then baby can be fussy and irritated. If the water is too hot then it can cause discomfort or even burn the baby. Getting the water just right is key to an enjoyable bath experience for baby and ultimate a relaxing and calming time for both mom and baby. With the Duckymeter you no longer have to guess if the water is too cold or too hot. I usually use my hands to test the water temperature but that never works well. The Duckymeter works amazingly. I just drop the Duckymeter in the water while I am filling up the tub. Within 30 seconds it tells you the temperature of the water.
When you drop you Duckymeter in the water and it’s blue then that means the water is a bit cold. You may want to adjust the water if you want a warmer bath. If you prefer cold baths then you can also use it to let you know it’s cold.
If your Duckymeter turns red that means that it’s too hot and probably not good for baby. When I get a read reading I usually add more cold water or allow the water to cool down. If you prefer hot baths then this would also work great with telling you the temperature of your water.
A green reading means you are good to go. It’s the perfect way to start off bath time for my baby and the kids. He loves when the water is the right temperature and for the kids the duck doubles as a toy. The Duckymeter stays on for a while in the water and it changes if the water temperature changes at any time. Removing it from the water helps turn it off. It works with just four little sensors at the bottom of the duck. It does require three batteries to work but it comes with them in the package. I’ve had mines for about four months and I haven’t had any problems with it working yet. The temperature reading is fine and it works within seconds of putting it in the tub. One thing I will say about Ozeri is that their products are under warranty and they will replace them if you have a problem with your item. You just have to email them. It’s a great product to have and a must for all parents and caregivers.
