As a mother I want to make sure I am doing all that I can for my children. I try to make sure they form good habits at a young age, those include personal hygiene and more specifically dental hygiene. As the mother of an infant it’s my job to make sure I protect his new smile from tooth decay. Did you know that the enamel on babies teeth is more susceptible to decay? It’s up to me to take special care of my baby’s new smile.
Thanks to Aquafresh I am doing just that for my baby. With their line of fluoride free training toothpaste and training toothbrushes I am caring for my baby’s teeth early. The Aquafresh training products can be used with children as early as three months old. The toothpaste was developed by Aquafresh’s dental experts, it’s a special training toothpaste that is fluoride-free with no artificial colors or preservatives so it’s safe to swallow when used as directed. I’ve used this toothpaste in the past with my other children and they have all loved it when they were starting to learn to brush their own teeth.
The toothpaste itself if clear and you don’t need a lot to get the job done. With my infant I only use a pea size drop since his teeth are just trying to burst through his gums. As he gets older and starts getting more teeth I will slowly increase the amount of toothpaste I use when brushing his teeth. This training toothpaste is recommended for use from three months up to twenty-four months old. The product is natural so you can rest assured if your child swallows it while brushing. The dental experts at Aquafresh state “Compared to your tooth enamel, your baby’s is 50% thinner. That’s why you need our expert protection.”
The training toothbrush is just what you need to make brushing fun for babies and toddlers. It has a small brush head and the brussels are perfect for cleaning babies teeth and soft enough to keep gums from bleeding. The handle is a little wider so that baby can get a good grip on the handle. My six month old was holding on to it (with my supervision) with ease so it shouldn’t be a problem for children when helping them with brushing and cleaning their teeth.
