New COCO Trailer and Poster

New COCO Trailer and Poster

This fall Disney/Pixar is heading to Mexico to dive into a world that’s different and had never been explored by the living. Growing up in Trinidad we never celebrated Halloween but instead All Saints and All Souls day. We celebrated on the last day in October and the first in November by visiting the graves of family that passed on and cleaning up the grave sites. We also leave sugar cane and mangoes on the grave sites so our ancestor’s spirits can take back. Since I learned about COCO I was excited to see how this movie and learn about another culture’s tradition.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself magically transported to the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Directed by Lee Unkrich (“Toy Story 3”), co-directed by Adrian Molina (story artist “Monsters University”) and produced by Darla K. Anderson (“Toy Story 3”), Disney•Pixar’s “Coco” opens in U.S. theaters on November 22nd!

Toy Story 4 Plans Revealed

Toy Story 4 Plans Revealed

I can remember it like it was yesterday, it was last November when the email hit my inbox about the plans for Toy Story 4.  There wasn’t much shared in the email when but the heading alone was enough for celebration in our house.  See my oldest son is a huge Toy Story Fan.  Although the first two were released before he was born, he loved the third film and then when back and feel in love with the other two.  He would spend hours on Youtube looking at toys from the films and I think he probably owned every toy you could buy in stores.  It’s hard to believe that the original Toy Story just turned 20.

pixar-disneyNearly two decades after Pixar Animation Studios created the world’s first computer-animated feature film with “Toy Story,” it revealed plans for Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” an adventure that returns audiences to the world of the studio’s signature characters.

John Lasseter, director of the original “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2,” will direct the film, which opens a new chapter in the lives of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the “Toy Story” gang. The story was dreamt up by Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich, the storytellers who have been the driving force behind all three “Toy Story” films.

“We love these characters so much; they are like family to us,” said Lasseter. “We don’t want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what’s gone before. ‘Toy Story 3’ ended Woody and Buzz’s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another ‘Toy Story’ movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie—and I wanted to direct it myself.”

Writing team Rashida Jones and Will McCormack (“Celeste and Jesse Forever”) joined the project, and Pixar veteran Galyn Susman (ABC’s “Toy Story OF TERROR!” and “Toy Story that Time Forgot”) is producing.

The film is slated for release on June 16, 2017.  Oh and I should mention the new movie will be a love story between Woody and Bo Peep from the original film.  This is so exciting.  I can’t wait to see how this new film unravels.

New Poster for Inside Out

New Poster for Inside Out

Ever since I’ve seen the first trailer for Disney/Pixar’s Inside I’ve been excited about this movie.  My whole family can’t wait for June to check it out.  Even my husband loves the trailer when it comes on television.  It’s super cute and I can’t wait to see how they tell a story with two main sets of characters.  I love this creative idea and it kind of reminds me of Toy Story a little.  There’s a brand new poster out for the upcoming release check it out below, along the trailer and more information about the film.  Trust me you’re going to love it.

Inside Out

Inside Out is the perfect film for the summer.

Film Synopsis:

From an adventurous balloon ride above the clouds to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Up”) has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In Disney•Pixar’s original movie “ Inside Out,” he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all—inside the mind.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
