Save Money with PUR Ultimate Pitcher

January 30, 2015 By Nickida

Save Money with PUR Ultimate Pitcher

I have a love/hate relationship with water.  I know how much I need it and I love a nice cold bottle of water but I hate having to drink my required amount of water each day.  My husband usually makes fun of me for all the opened half bottles of water he finds around the house from me starting a bottle and then leaving it for another cold bottle.  PUR reached out to me to review one of their new pitchers with MAXION filter technology.  I jumped at the opportunity to share my thought with you.

When thinking about how much money I spend on water, I realized that I was wasting lots of money.  My husband would especially agree because he knows how much half empty bottles I would leave around the house.  He started to keep them to show me over a course of a week how much I wasted.  My pitcher arrived right after the holidays, so I figured it would be great to start the new year off by not purchasing any bottled water and just relying on the pitcher.  I also used this as a goal to help me drink more water.  With the pitcher instead of taking more than I needed I got just what I wanted/needed and I tried to drink at least one glass an hour.  My goal was to drink at least two pitchers in a day.  Since I started in early January I’ve noticed my water intake increase.  I’m not wasting water like I was in the past and our house isn’t filled with bottles to recycle.  I’ve also saved money.  We would spend at least $15 a month on bottled water from Costco and more if I had to get it from Safeway.  The new Ultimate Series PUR Pitcher is better than before.  New features include:

  • Covered Pour Sprout: this prevents odor and particles from getting into clean water.
  • Space Saving Design: this slim pitcher design fits easily into your refrigerator.
  • Easy Fill Lid: is thumb activated for simplicity
  • Comfort Grip Handle: the new shape and materials allow for a more comfortable and sturdy user experience.
  • Improved Filer Fit Mounting System: unique, secure fit filter guarantees unfiltered water won’t mix with your clean filtered water.

My PUR Pitcher holds enough water for seven – 8oz glasses of water.  That’s almost enough water for the recommended eight glasses of water a day.  PUR Ultimate and Classic pitchers feature MAXION filter technology.  MAXION filter technology is PUR’s unique formulation approach for blending carbon and ion exchange materials for maximum contaminant reduction.  Clean drinking water is the foundation for good health.  PUR pitchers with MAXION technology turn your ordinary tap water into clean, fresh-tasting drinking water.  It was so easy to set up my pitcher for use.  I loved how securely the filter fit into the pitcher for a tight seal, preventing any particles from getting into my clean water.  My pitcher also has a LED light that lets me know when it’s time to change my filter.  All PUR’s filters and pitchers are recyclable, so I don’t feel bad about using them.  You can purchase PUR pitchers for retailers nationwide.  They are available in the following sizes:

  • 7-Cup Pitcher with LED: starting at MSPR $21.99
  • 7-Cup Pitcher without LED: starting at MSPR $16.99
  • 11-Cup Pitcher with LED: starting at MSPR $34.99

These pitchers would make great gifts for housewarmings, going away to college, or as a gift to anyone wanting to cut out water bottles.  In addition to saving money, you get to cut down on waste.
