If you’re making any travel plans this summer and you’re thinking of the beach Fort Myers is a great place to start your search for fun and exciting things to do.  One of the perks of visiting Fort Myers is that you don’t have to stick just to the beach, there are several options for travelers including other beaches, and there’s an amusement park plus an outlet mall.  Samantha En Route’s 5 Fun Beach Hotels in Fort Myers is a great place to start when planning a trip to the area.  I hope you find something great on her list.

Without a passport, American travelers are limited to stateside destinations for vacation and getaways. Florida is abound with fun beach cities and one of the most popular spots is Fort Myers Beach with several great hotel options for both families and adults alike.

Outrigger Beach Resort

Set on Estero Boulevard, Outrigger Beach Resort is more of a boutique hotel than a busy beach high-rise with 144 comfortable rooms perfect for families looking to getaway. Rooms come with cable televisions, coffee-makers, complimentary Wi-Fi, in-room safes, and room service. Adults will enjoy the resort’s Tiki Bar near the freshwater pool serving fun cocktails and providing entertainment in the evenings. On average rooms vary between $98 to $108 throughout the year, with higher pricing certainly during spring break. Outside the hotel, enjoy beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico and its beaches as well as some time in downtown Fort Myers.

Neptune Inn

Want beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico at an affordable price, not to mention your own private beach? Neptune Innhas all that you’re looking for and more. With direct beach access, two outdoor pools, and access to gas BBQs, guests can turn a picnic into the ultimate beach getaway. Proximity to Times Square and Beach Pier gives travelers fun options for evening entertainment and a great view for Fort Myers’ famous sunset over the gulf.

Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina

A popular pick for visitors to Fort Myers Beach, Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina has plenty of fantastic amenities to offer its guests. At the resort guests are provided free rafts and other non-motorized water sport equipment. Rates start at $149 and rise from there during peak season, roughly around Easter. Nearby guests can enjoy beautiful Sanibel Island and its soft beaches or a complimentary excursion, such as a trip to Sanibel’s marine environment.

Lovers Key Resort by JE Hotels & Resorts

Set right on the ocean, Lovers Key Resort by JE Hotels & Resorts is located between Sanibel Island and Naples. Suites at Lovers Key Resort include living areas separate from the bedroom, kitchens, and large bathrooms with tubs and showers. Those looking to splurge can book a penthouse suite enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows and large balconies. Nearby dining includes Flipper’s, and in the mornings guests are continental breakfast. Rates will start around $135 per night and rise during peak season, usually starting in early spring.

The Lighthouse Resort Inn & Suites

At the Lighthouse Resort Inn & Suites guests will enjoy comfortable accommodations and amenities alike during their Florida getaway. Guests have complimentary high-speed internet, cable TVs, a furnished patio, and a fully stocked kitchen. The resort has two pools where guests can enjoy poolside drinks from the Tiki Bar and Grill, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi outside of their rooms as well. Rates start at $165 per night and go up to at least $305, depending on time of year and type of accommodation. The resort is also dog-friendly, so travelers can enjoy beach time with their families and four-legged friends as well.
