Living in Maryland has some great perks — we are close to the nation’s capital, within driving distance of several other states, and it’s home of the best crab cakes in the world. If you’re planning a trip to the North East region of the country, add some of these cities to your list.

Dorney Park for the Family in Allentown, PA

Allentown is the third largest city in Pennsylvania, offering lots of family-friendly fun including regional favorite, Dorney Park. Travelers can find hotels in Allentown to fit any budget. Knights Inn & Suites is a budget friendly option, close to Coca-Cola Park, and Art Allentown Museum. The Sayre Mansion Inn is a unique hotel that is priced on higher side, but guests receive complimentary parking and breakfast. If you’re looking for a place to stay near Dorney Park, Comfort Suites Allentown is less than a half a mile away from the park.

Catch Providence’s Signature Event – WaterFire

WaterFire is an award-winning sculpture installation in downtown Providence, RI. Created by local artist Barnaby Evans, on the three rivers, WaterFire is a must see for travelers. Cheap hotels in Providence is limited, however,  they do have some luxurious options. Providence Biltmore Hotel is known as a tourist and social attraction. Dine at the hotel’s ritzy McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steak restaurant. Rooms start at $149 per night.

Braintree, MA is a suburb of Boston; it’s about fifteen minutes from the city, and gives travelers access to Cape Cod. Baseball fans can take in a game at Fenway Park. Discover Trendy & Chic Rochester, NY

The George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film is a well-known attraction in Rochester, NY. There are several hotel options to accommodate different tastes and preferences. Motel 6 Rochester Airport is a budget friendly option that’s close to the airport. The best time to visit is in the spring, the shores of Lake Ontario provides great spots for morning walks and even some fishing. Del Monte Lodge Renaissance Rochester Hotel & Spa is a beautiful hotel with deluxe accommodations for those without budget restrictions.
