Alyssa Writes’ Beautiful Bed and Breakfasts in Maryland

Maryland is my home state, and I love being able to share with my readers all the wonderful things you can find and do in Maryland.  It’s a very unique starting point for vacationing because it is so close to other states.  Alyssa Writes shared a lovely list of Bed and Breakfasts in Maryland and I wanted to share it with my readers.

Maryland offers many pleasant surprises for visitors looking for an exciting getaway. With a varied landscape and some of the most historic cities along the Eastern Shore, a visit to this spectacular state comes highly recommended. One thing that Maryland certainly doesn’t lack is comfortable and homely places to stay.

Baltimore

With a spectacular skyline, Baltimore is a fantastic destination for a weekend break. Tourists come from all over the world so it is little wonder why it is home to a wonderful selection of beautiful bed and breakfasts.

The Gramercy Mansion is a particular favorite and boasts exquisitely furnished rooms, each uniquely decorated. The landscaped gardens are perfect for roaming around in the afternoon sun and as it is conveniently in the Greenspring Valley, all the city’s main sights are right on the doorstep. With friendly staff, delicious food, and clean, comfortable rooms, this bed and breakfast is second to none.

Annapolis

With 18th Century architecture, 500 miles of glorious shoreline, and home to the US Naval Academy, Annapolis is a paradise for holiday-makers who want to relax and enjoy the sights.

The Chez Amis Bed and Breakfast is a great choice for accommodation and is right in the heart of the city. With friendly hosts that are always happy to give guests the lowdown on the best attractions, restaurants, and bars in the area, this bed and breakfast is one of the best in Annapolis. Aromas of homemade cookies make guests feel instantly at home, and breakfast includes fresh fruit and baked treats that are simply delicious. The rooms are clean, spacious, and luxurious, and many visitors return year after year.

Ocean City

With the beach as the main attraction, Ocean City offers visitors an extensive selection of seafood restaurants, vibrant bars, seasonal events, and fun-packed activities. The boardwalk stretches for 3 miles, making it a perfect location for a stroll along the coastline.

Stay at An Inn on the Ocean for a relaxing, comfortable vacation. This beautiful bed and breakfast overlooks the ocean, and towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and bikes are all included. With a large lounge area boasting an open fireplace and Victorian antique furniture, a stay here is simply unforgettable. Enjoy a delicious full breakfast on the front porch each morning whilst watching the world go by.

Salisbury

Located at the head of the Wicomico River, Salisbury is a nature-lovers paradise. With the Salisbury Zoo, Pemberton Historical Park, the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art and an array of restaurants, bars and quaint little antique shops, there is so much to do in this fabulous city.

A stay at Vicki’s Inn is a great choice. The best thing about this bed and breakfast is its central location. A short distance from all the main attractions, guests will be able to enjoy a stress-free vacation. The owners are very friendly and will often join guests for breakfast whilst offering historic background on the building itself and the city. Rooms are beautifully decorated and are very clean.
