It Will Be Okay By Lysa TerKeurst

It Will Be Okay By Lysa TerKeurst

As a mom I have to honestly say that I haven’t ever thought about a plan to prepare my kids with dealing with certain things in life.  I feel like they are kids and right now their world should be sunshine and unicorns (figuratively speaking of course).  The reality of life though is that no matter what I try to shield them from, life happens, and when it does there isn’t much I can do to change it but I can help them with preparing for changes.  I’m a Tommy Nelson Mommy and each month we review different books, this month’s selections include It Will Be Okay by Lisa TerKeurst.

Change happens in life, and growing up brings even more changes for kids.  I think sometimes as parents we forget we were once kids too and we know that life can be tough for kids.  A move across town may seem small but it’s a huge change for a child.  Switching schools, friends moving away, even starting a new school year can be a scary thing for kids.  Some of these changes are even scary for adults.  Lysa TerKeurst new book It Will Be Okay helps kids deal with their fear.  I loved the book, the illustrations were so cute, they made the book even more cute and adorable for the kids.  You can see a preview of the book below.

About It Will Be Okay:

Whether we like it or not, growing up brings change. For many children, this conjures fears that are sometimes real and sometimes imagined. How can kids learn that even when they face new and unfamiliar situations, they don’t have to be afraid?

Little Seed and Little Fox are facing changes and brand new circumstances—and they don’t like it one bit! Through this unlikely friendship, children will discover that no matter how new or fearful their circumstances, God is always with them. The whimsical art by Natalia Moore will put a smile on kids’ faces and put their minds at ease. Just as Little Seed and Little Fox learn to trust that the Farmer is good and kind, children will also learn to trust God.
