Recently a few of my family and friends had the opportunity to enjoy a Mommy Party sponsored by Random House and some great brand partners.  The party was to celebrate the release of Haylie Pomroy’s The Fast Metabolism Diet.  The highly anticipated book is about teaching you to eat more, not count calories and still lose weight.  So we were all excited about learning about the program and how easy it is to make one of recipes in the book.  The book includes over 50 recipes, including vegetarian, organic and gluten-free options.  My party pack arrived with copies of the book for everyone, Celestial Seasonings samples and coupons, Applegate coupons, cashew butter coupons, and I also received a brand new Crock-Pot brand slow cooker.  I was beyond excited, so many great items.


For the party I made a few of the dishes in the book and the sandwich in the picture above.  We used Applegate Organic and Natural deli meats and bacon to construct the sandwiches along with avacado.  We also enjoyed some chili and a smoothie recipe from the book.
