Make Sugar and Gluten Free Desserts At Home with

Make Sugar and Gluten Free Desserts At Home with

Personally, I’m not Gluten Free or Sugar-Free. When we choose to try gluten free products it’s a personal choice for our lifestyle. I do however know that not everyone has the luxury of choice to buy gluten-free or sugar-free items. Celiac Disease is a serious condition that affects at least 1 in 100 people in the US. When shopping it’s important those shoppers feel safe and find options for their well being. Recently Sans Sucre reached out to me about trying some of their products and I was excited to give them a try.

Sans Sucre believes that eating healthy doesn’t mean you should sacrifice delicious desserts. Their line of desserts include blondies, brownies, mousses, and cakes, for people who monitor their sugar intake and for people with special diet needs.

About Sans Sucre Products

All Sans Sucre baking mixes use Stevia, a natural sweetener, that has a negligible effect on blood glucose levels. This makes it an ideal sweetener for those on carbohydrate-controlled diets. They also prepare their mixes in small batches with hand-selected ingredients.

Their line of baking mixes is the first to be BOTH gluten-free AND sugar-free. This makes them the ideal option for diabetics limiting gluten, people with celiac disease or a gluten intolerance reducing sugar and everyday consumers looking to make better—yet still tasty—choices.

Recently my father started to cut down on his sugar intake to help reverse diabetic symptoms. For the holidays I wanted to create a dessert the whole family could enjoy without making him feel left out. I remembered the Sans Sucre products I received and decided on giving the brownie mix a try. It was super easy to make. The directions on the box were straightforward and simple to follow.

I didn’t have to worry about special baking times since the mix was also gluten-free. I choose to not do anything different or fancy to add sugar in any way. I was surprised by the end result. It smelt amazing while baking in the oven. The brownie looked like a chocolate cake once it was out of the oven.

The kids couldn’t wait to get their hands on the brownie. My father loved it. Even better he loved that we thought about a way to include him without making him feel different. This wasn’t our first time trying gluten-free baked goods. So we were prepared for the texture. It was a little different but nothing you can’t quickly adjust your pallet for. Some of us missed the sugar the first few bites but soon it didn’t make much of a difference either. For my dad it was perfect.

We’re looking forward to trying the other Sans Sucre products I received and using it to help cut back on sugar in our home. If you’re interested in purchasing your own Sans Sucre products you can find them online www.edietshop.com. You can also visit www.sanssucrefoods.com. The baking mixes retail for $7.99 in stores.
