Heading On an All Star Vacation Celebrating Monkey Kingdom
In less than a week I am heading on an all star vacation celebrating Monkey Kingdom. I can’t wait for this trip because it’s going to be epic. I’ve been on two awesome Disney blogger trips but this invite made me happy for multiple reasons. I’ve never been to any of the Disney Parks. None, Zip, Zero. Growing up in Trinidad it wasn’t something that was possible for me. I’ve wanted to take the kids but waiting for them to get a bit older. This once in a lifetime adventure is taking place from April 14 to April 19th. I was invited on this sponsored trip hosted by Disneynature, All Star Vacation Homes and Walt Disney World.
I’m looking forward to this adventure with twenty-four other bloggers and our Disney rep. I’ll get to hang out with some older blogging pals and meet some new ones as well. The main purpose for this trip is to learn about Monkey Kingdom. We’ll have the opportunity to screen the movie on our first night in Florida. I can’t wait to see this Disneynature film. Be sure to catch it during opening week because a portion of ticket sales will be donated during that week. Monkey Kingdom opens on April 17th. Check out the Monkey Kingdom Trailer below:
After screening Disneynature Monkey Kingdom we’ll also have the opportunity to interview Disneynature Ambassador Dr. M Sanjayan to learn about his role as a conservationist. I can’t wait to learn about his time working on this film, the process of bringing it to life and what he wants viewers to take awake from this movie. Other highlights of the trip include:
- Going backstage at Disney’s ANIMAL KINGDOM to learn how Disney Cast Members tend to the 1,500-plus inhabitants who live there
- Going on a Wilderness Exploration where you will jaunt across jungles, furrow into forests and make your way through the woods while you set out on a series of fact-finding challenges
- Joining an Animal Specialist for a deliciously insightful, 4-course lunch at the restaurant Sanaa
- Visit the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
- Interview Disneynature Ambassador Dr. M Sanjayan
- Have free time to go on all your favorite rides at WALT DISNEY WORLD!
During the #MonkeyKingdomEvent we’ll be spending a lot of time going behind the scenes at Animal Kingdom. I once saw a documentary about the building of this park, so I can’t wait to explore it. I’ve been looking up all I can about the park so I know what to do while we have free time. If you’re a fan of Animal Kingdom Park please leave a comment letting me know what I shouldn’t miss while at the park.
While at Epcot we will have the opportunity to take a tour of the Flower and Garden show, as well as check out some rides, get up close with nature and see a sneak peak of Tomorrowland, and that’s just a few of the things we’ll be doing while at Epcot. Also on our agenda is the Wild Africa Trek. I’ve been excited about this since it was announced. Check out this video sneak peak of the trek.
I am both nervous and excited about this experience. While in Orlando we’ll be staying in fabulous vacation rental properties owned by All Star Vacation Homes. These homes are perfect for families traveling to the area. There are four different homes all the bloggers will be staying in and each has special amenities. They all have pools that are protected with a fence, free wi-fi and even a washer and dryer in the homes.
With All Star Vacation Homes families can stay in a comfortable environment that like a home away from home. It’s not like a hotel room with limited space. With a full kitchen and an outdoor grill, choosing All Star Vacation Homes means you can save on your family vacation.
Be sure to follow along on our adventures from April 14 through 19th. Follow the hashtags #MonkeyKingdomEvent #AllStarVacationHomes and #DisneySide to keep up with our adventures. Oh and be sure to tell me in the comments all I need to know about Disney World, the rides I should try to get on, places to dine or and tips for pin trading. I want to hear it all.
