Be My Guest and Follow Along
Earlier this month I received the best news for my birthday month. I’ll be heading off to L.A. as a guest of Walt Disney Studios and ABC Television for the #BeOurGuestEvent to celebrate the theratical release of the new live action film, Beauty and the Beast.
Be sure to follow along for all the exciting adventures my self and twenty-four other bloggers go on during the event. I can’t wait to find out all the great things we’ll be doing while in L.A. from March 4th through March 7th.
While in L.A. we’ll be screening the film Beauty and the Beast and interviewing some of the cast of the film. I can’t wait to find out who’s on the list for interviews. I’m hoping Emma Watson is on that list.
We’ll also have the opportunity to screen the new Disneynature film Born in China opening in theaters on April 21st. I had the opportunity to attend the Monkey Kingdom Event for the last Disneynature film so I’m super excited about the latest addition to the entertaining and educational franchise.
We get to also attend a special In-Home MOANA presentation (available on Digital HD on 2/21 and Blu-ray on 3/7). I can’t wait to get to those bonus features and bonus I get to watch one of my favorite shorts “Inner Workings” over and over again.
We’re catching up with Rapunzel and Flynn at a special screening of the Disney Channel Original Movie “Tangled Before Ever After” (premieres Friday, March 10th at 8/7c) followed by an intimate Q&A with Executive Producer Chris Sonnenburg and Supervising Producer Ben Balistreri. The TV movie, which kicks off the highly-anticipated premiere of “Tangled: The Series” (debuting Friday, March 24th at 7:30/6:30c), unfolds as Rapunzel acquaints herself with her parents, her kingdom and the people of Corona. Her irrepressible spirit and natural curiosity about the world lead her to realize that there is so much more she needs to learn about the world and herself before she can assume her role as Princess of Corona.
I’m excited to get a sneak peek into the second season of The Catch. I actually visited the set and talked with Costume Designer Peggy Schnitzer. “The Catch” will return for Season 2 on Thursday, March 9th at 10/9c as part of ABC’s exciting #TGIT line-up.
“The Catch” is a sexy, scintillating game of cat and mouse between L.A.’s top private investigator, Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos), and the man she loves, Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause), the world’s most formidable con artist. At the beginning of season two, con man Benjamin Jones has gone from committing the ultimate betrayal to performing the ultimate sacrifice, when he turned himself in to the FBI to save Alice from wrongful imprisonment. Now in jail, Ben is forced to reckon with his criminal past, while the team at Anderson Vaughan Investigations must come to terms with getting in bed with the bad guys. How will Alice and Ben game the system — and each other — to stay together and overcome their less-than-legal pasts?
We get to see an advance preview of Disney Channel’s upcoming series “Andi Mack” (premieres early spring 2017) followed by a Q&A session with the series’ stars, creator and executive producer. “Andi Mack” is a contemporary, coming-of-age story about a relatable girl who’s trying to determine where she fits in — and the many amazing ways she can live her life. Andi has been raised to live on the safe side but on her 13th birthday, she takes off the proverbial training wheels and eagerly goes headlong into her teenage years. At every twist and turn, she’s anchored by a loving albeit complicated family and her loyal best friends, Cyrus and Buffy.
Also on the agenda is a special screening of Disney XD’s “Milo Murphy’s Law” (new episodes debut beginning Monday, March 6th), followed by a Q&A with creators and Executive Producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (of the Emmy Award-winning animated series “Phineas and Ferb”). “Milo Murphy’s Law” is an animated comedy series that follows 13-year-old Milo Murphy, the fictional great-great-great-great grandson of the Murphy’s Law namesake. Milo is the personification of Murphy’s Law, where anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
I love checking our new shows so I’m excited that we’ll also get to see an exclusive sneak preview of the Series Premiere and second episode of “Imaginary Mary” (sampled on Wednesday, March 29th at 8:30/7:30c followed by its time slot premiere on Tuesday, April 4th at 9:30/8:39c), the newest ABC comedy about a fiercely independent career woman (Jenna Elfman) whose life is turned upside-down when she meets the love of her life – a divorced father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend (voiced by Rachel Dratch) she created as a child suddenly reappears to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family. This special screening will be followed by a Q&A with Jenna Elman, her co-star Stephen Schneider, and Executive Producers David Guarascio and Patrick Osborne.
We’re attending a baby shower! Well sorta, we will attend a “baby shower” luncheon and Q&A with the cast of Freeform’s “Baby Daddy” (season 6 premieres Monday, March 13th at 8:30/7:30c)! The baby shower will celebrate the pregnancy of Danny and Riley, who found out in the season five finale that they were expecting. The season six premiere will pick up three months after the finale, and Ben is still enthusiastically searching for the mysterious Elle. Danny and Riley are hunting for a good doctor to help with the pregnancy, and Bonnie desperately wants to be involved. Tucker is back from Los Angeles, but he refuses to tell anyone what happened while he was there.
So much amazing is happening and I’m excited to attend the event, be sure to follow along with our main hashtag #BeOurGuestEvent and all the other hashtags for the event for exclusive behind the scenes scoop:
