Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil Has Multiple Uses

I love cooking and baking and trying new recipes. I was recently given the opportunity to review Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil and I was thrilled. I didn’t know what to make or where to start so I headed to a few recipe sites looking for inspiration. I honestly have to say that I’ve been sleeping on Olive Oil. I didn’t realize how many recipes you can use it in. You can virtually use it for any recipe that calls for oil and Pompeian offers a variety of choices for grilling, sauteing, baking, dressings and more. I actually made a few dishes with the olive oil.
So the first thing I used it for was a pasta salad. I had some pasta from my Pasta Shoppe package and there was a Pasta Salad package that contained all the seasoning I just need to add oil and vinegar.
Then I just had to boil the pasta and add the dressing to the pasta and refrigerate.

The finished pasta salad. I didn’t stop there though. I also baked corn bread from scratch to go along with dinner that night. I love making my own corn bread because I can control how sweat I make it and it’s really so easy to make.
So here’s dinner with the corn bread on the plate. The recipe is posted below. Next time I am going to try using olive oil in a dessert recipe and see how it goes. You couldn’t tell any difference and my whole family loved it, especially my husband.

- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2/3 cups white sugar

- 1 cup milk
