Mini Personal Pizza – Cooking with Kids
This past weekend we stayed in the house because the kids were under the weather and I decided to do something fun with the kids. So I grabbed some stuff we had on hand and made some mini personal pizza with them. They really enjoyed it and we had so much fun cooking together.
This recipe is so easy to prepare and with the exception of maybe the pepperoni you probably have all the ingredients on hand. Plus you can use whatever you like for toppings not just pepperoni. You can use sausage, bacon, chicken, veggies or anything like that.
The kids were excited about getting to cook their own pizza they made. They couldn’t wait to get started. While they were washing hands and getting ready, I started the oven since they can’t go near the hot oven.
Pizza prep was a breeze and I showed them the steps first and then they just followed them up and made the rest of the pizzas they wanted to make. We did switch it up on the second batch and put the pepperoni on the sauce and then put the cheese on top of the pepperoni.
Pizzas before I put them in the oven. Since oven temperatures vary be sure to keep an eye on your pizzas and adjust the time up or down so your kids get perfect pizza.
I didn’t make anything else that night with their pizza but it would be great with apple slices, carrot sticks, baked fries, or grapes. It really depends on your kids and their preference. The recipe is below and I hope you give this a try and get cooking with your kids.
