Tinkerbell Doll Cake

This past weekend I had the honor of making a birthday cake for a great little girl.  She wanted a Tinkerbell cake but her mother as didn’t want to cut her cake at the party so I offered to make her a small sheet cake for the party as a bonus.  Here are some pictures of the cakes.   I used the marshmallow fondant recipe I posted here on the cake.

The sheet cake had three layers, white, green and strawberry cake

This is my second doll cake.  The first I made was for my daughter’s birthday.  Next time I will make different color fondant for the flowers.  I changed the design at the last minute and had to improvise.  I cleaned the cake up a bit before dropping her off, with a small bakers brush and some water to remove the excess frosting and powered sugar.  I had so much fun making the cake for her and she loved it and so did her family.  Hopefully they spread the word around I really want some more practice.
